Thank you for considering a gift in your will to support Macular Degeneration New Zealand’s (MDNZ) vital work in increasing awareness of macular degeneration throughout the community and providing education and support to those living with this chronic eye disease.

Macular degeneration is the most common cause of blindness in New Zealanders over 50 years of age, yet this disease is treatable. MDNZ is a registered charitable trust working to change this so that people in New Zealand will no longer lose their vision unnecessarily.

MDNZ receives no government funding and through the valued generosity of many New Zealanders, MDNZ delivers much needed services that will save sight and raise awareness of this chronic eye disease. By leaving a bequest, you can ensure that MDNZ will truly be able to make a difference for the 1 in 7 people in New Zealand that will get macular degeneration.

MDNZ is committed to saving sight and reducing the impact and incidence of macular degeneration. We do this through awareness raising, education, support and research.
