World Vision New Zealand is a Christian Humanitarian organisation working to improve the lives of children and families in the developing world through sustainable, community based initiatives and emergency relief. Established in 1970, World Vision New Zealand currently supports communities in over 25 countries. We work alongside community members, encouraging local ownership of development projects to ensure they continue long after we leave.
World Vision’s determination to improve the lives of children and families living in extreme poverty is the drive behind our strategy. There are three main branches to our work: Community Development, Humanitarian and Emergency Relief and Advocacy and Education.
Through making a gift in your will to World Vision New Zealand, no matter how large or small, you can make significant positive change to the lives of children and their communities. World Vision New Zealand often has the unique opportunity to bring in matching or multiplying funds through Government, UN Agencies or other sources. This means gifts from individuals can become extremely meaningful and produce exceptional outcomes. For example, donations to us for the World Food Programme are multiplied and every dollar donated by an individual supporter provides $10 of essential food supplied to the hungriest children.
What better memorial could you have than to make an enduring difference to the lives of children and communities living in extreme poverty. What an amazing gift!
